Another birthday! I was able to ponder over another birthday gift recently and found the perfect thing. This online tutorial gave me the kickstart I needed, and I went from there.

Hair combs
Yarn/floss for wrapping
Gold thread (optional)
Button and pearls (optional)

How to make this idea your own…use different colors of yarn on one comb, cover it with cloth flowers/beads/anything of your choice, and change up the colors to match your lifestyle.
